PRODUCTS - Translucent Glassfibre Sheet (FRP)

We are stockists/suppliers of translucent glass fibre sheet (FRP).

The material is lightweight, 1.3mm even thickness, has high impact strength, good weather/UV resistance, a smooth surface and is easy to cut and install.

All lengths cut to whatever size required from coils at our Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire workshop.

Coil sizes - 2.55m wide.

Delivery/Collection

We offer a delivery service via our own transport and collection can be made 24/7 with prior arrangement.

Uses of Translucent Glassfibre Sheet (FRP)

Most commonly used for horsebox roofs and animal transportation vehicles, however the uses are endless where natural light is required. The material has been used in stables, barns, workshops, animal pens and customers have also found it useful when building smoking areas at public buildings.

Colours

Not only can we supply natural translucent sheet but also various translucent colours, commonly blue (pictured right) which has been used to cover lorries for livestock/animal transportation.

The glassfibre FRP sheet shown above has many uses. Architects have used blue tint for illuminated signs and water features. White and elycold has been used for wall, floor and ceiling linings where an easy to clean hygienic surface is required. Translucent and opaque is used in the transportation industry for lorry and trailer roofs. The uses are endless, we have clients who construct solar panel covers and construction companies using the material for soffits, screens and various fabrication requirements.

The sheet is lightweight, easy to cut and install making it a most versatile soloution. For collection and delivery purposes lengths are rolled in a coil 2.55M in length, diameter dependent on length required.

London based 'Practice Architecture' used translucent FRP glassfibre sheet to construct the 24M long illuminated sign.

With the material being easy to cut and install it proved the best soloution for the project.

Construction was completed in April 2011.
